How to Write a CV For a Sales Job?

You have found a sales job that seems perfect for you. So, now you need to write the perfect CV for the role that will get you noticed. How do you write one that will get you an interview? The first thing you will want to do is put numbers on the CV.

Show the person who will be reading the resume the number of sales you have made, the profit you have generated and the growth of the sales from beginning to end. These are important numbers in the sales job field. Just be careful not to exaggerate the numbers. The company with whom you are applying may enjoy a salesperson with an outgoing and talkative personality, but not one that is unbelievable.

Highlight your good points such as keeping under budget, the goals you have set and attained and the sales rankings. If you were the top salesperson for several months running, make sure that is listed. What if you do not have numbers to show on your CV? There are a variety of activities required in this environment. From meetings within the company to meetings with clients, your experience may be of a different nature than sales. You may have pitched to clients while someone else actually closed the sale.
