Ford Motor Company Is Hollywood Royalty

It’s not the latest A-list actor or actress that has the most illustrious movie career; that title belongs to Ford Motor co who has amassed more than five hundred movie and film credits under its belt. Ford Motor is one of the most famous car manufacturers in American history; the company has even played a prominent in the automotive industry by revolutionizing the assembly line process and it’s the producer of the much loved Mustang pony car. It’s no surprise that the brand has made lots of appearances in some of the most famous movies in cinematic history.

Ford’s practical Fusion sedan even made an appearance on one of the most popular teen shows of all times; “The OC”. This Fusion is a family sedan that offers great mileage and a fun drive. The best part is that it’s reasonably priced with a base cost of around $20k. The Escape is a small SUV with a roomy interior, good crash results and an optional six cylinder that pits out 240 hp. The Escape is priced at around the $21k range and if it’s good enough for a secret agent then it’s more than good enough for the rest of us.

The biggest A-list celebrity in Ford’s lineup is the Mustang. She’s the ultimate muscle power with good looks and enough horsepower to get your adrenaline really pumping. She has graced the following flicks with her appearance; “I am Legend”, “Gone in Sixty Seconds” and “Diamonds Are Forever”. The sweet Mustang made its film debut in the classic 007 flick movie “Goldfinger”. Ford provided the production with a large variety of automobiles to use including the Thunderbird, which was used as the CIA agents’ cars and the Lincoln Continental which ends up destroyed.

The classic film “Bullitt” featuring Steve McQueen features another memorable appearance by the pony car. The shining star was a 1968 Mustang GT which stole the show in an exciting high speed chase. Two Mustang GT’s and two Dodge Chargers were used in the well known scene. One of the auto’s most recent impressive appearances is in the massive blockbuster hit “I Am Legend”. Will Smith plays the role of one of the last people remaining on the planet and there are many shots of him driving around an abandoned New York City in a shiny red mustang. The Expedition and Escape also made appearances in the flick. The 2010 Mustang is competitively priced with a base cost of around $21k and increases depending on the options selected.

Ford is one of the most popular U.S automakers in history and as a result it shouldn’t be too shocking that it’s had an excellent run in the movies as well. Ford vehicles are built in America, built tough and most of all practical and attainable for the average consumer.
