The residential houses are built on top of each other. Houses may be fitted with their own electricity and water meters but the meters are placed in a common place for safety reasons.

Mobility is also made easier since the people can move about with ease. A house that accommodates all the people effectively and still meets their needs is very important to ensure a balance in the way things in the house are run.

The issue of hygiene is also questionable in areas where some resources are shared by more than one household. Some neighbors are dirty and they might pour dirty water from their windows causing a health hazards to the houses below them.

Apartments are efficient to live in. They offer comfort to all those that live in them. Smaller apartments are cheaper to live in. They also offer a serene environment to the children and the young people who are growing up. They are easy to manipulate and one does not need a lot of effort to decorate or furnish the house.
