Get Some Money From Your Leftovers, Dumping is Not the First Option

Selling off your used stuffs or the leftover items sounds quite cheap but it’s true that if you get to earn some dollars from the items screaming for the bin, it’s not a bad idea either. Or else what can you do with your used phones, car parts or even your childhood toys? You might be approaching a day care unit or a church to take the now-garbage toys. But if they refuse, you have to dump them and forget.

The way out:

Though you might be unaware of it, there are people in your locality in search of a car part or a second hand cellphone or even cheap used up jewelries. So better than screaming at the top of your throat “I want to sell my leftover stuff”, you can list the products in the free classified portals and get in touch with a prospective buyer. This will certainly save you from dumping the things at the back of your place. What is bonus is that you earn some quick dollar.

Though you might be feeling it’s unethical to make people pay for your used item and use them eventually, you can fully utilize the product description space in such classifieds and inform the visitors how you have used the item and for how long.

Online forum

Literally, you can sell everything from car parts to carpets and from boats to outboard motors through an online forum. Selling these things seems pretty regular. But suppose you ordered some silk flower pins or body wash or orchids for your wedding bash, and while some items have been felt unused, others decorative items have no purpose now as you are into the marriage about four months. What to do with all these stuffs? Just join a relevant forum and tell you are having these materials and desire to sell them off and also mention the price. You can be assured of at least one suitor, whatever your ware is.

Online consignment shops

But if you still don’t get someone to purchase your stuff, no need to cry out, “I want to sell my leftover stuff”. There are lots of online consignment shops and you can send pictures of your items to these shops specifying your expected price. Though you will be able to find a buyer, in such process, you will be required to split the proceeds with consignment shop.

At such shops, you will be able to sell everything from pretty piece of furniture to decorative items to artwork to a single chair. But if you are looking to sell your bed frames or large upholstery, the quest might be tougher because such consignment shops often do not possess the space for such storing.

However, when your leftover item is not sold here, you are given several options. There is a reclaim date of 60 days, though it may vary. After the reclaim date, if your item is still rotting in the store, you can either decide to lower the price for sale or take back the item or simply donate it to get rid of.

So, if you are clueless about what to do with your leftover stuff and if you have decided on casting them off, take a while and consider using an online portal, a forum or a consignment shop. If you can get a little money by the selling the used stuff, there is no harm in giving it a try.
