Traditional Iron Doors

Portella Iron Doors, \”Traditional Series\”.

When you want to make a design statement in your home then one of the best ways to add in a wow factor to your home decor is to get iron doors fitted.

Portella offers a range of traditional iron doors that combine a sense of elegance with the light touch that you would expect from a ‘Traditional’ range. There are thirty-five different designs to choose from and these tend to range in three distinct styles:

1/ An ‘Open’ Style

These range from very open, light designs like the Pomezia which have open curlicues and twirls of iron that open out the doors in a classical Venetian manner, to the simple lines of the Sienna range of iron doors which are less ornate but still have the design touches that make them very clearly a Portella Door.

2/ Semi-Closed in Styles

These tend to include more sheet metal styles and tend to hug the space in closer to them. They do however still have several open features, although the space for iron work is more limited and so they tend to give the space they inhabit a different flavor. Examples would include the Arezzo, Meridor and Moreno iron doors in the traditional range.

3/ Closed Styles

Here the wrought ironwork is less on display then closed pieces of ironwork that more closely resemble traditional flat panel doors that you may be used to seeing in your own home, but with more ornate styling. There are two main examples in the Portella Traditional range; the Palermo, which is a design that is almost totally enclosed, apart from two small openings at the top. And the Treviso, which is a completely enclosed iron door which may be more suitable for gateways, garages or areas of your home where privacy is at a premium.

Each of the doors in the Portella range come with a full ten-year manufacturer’s warranty and so you can feel confident that in the event that you did find a fault with your doors (or one developed over time), that you would be able to get it replaced at no charge.

You will also find that because the traditional range of iron doors covers such a wide variety of designs, and color and finish options (nine in all) that most homes will be able to find one that matches the style of their home. And because each of these doors is constructed from one piece of 14 gauge steel, they also offer unparalleled security alongside elegant, traditional designs.

As standard each of the doors are fitted with top quality dead bolts and a specialist Q-ion compression system that helps to trap air in, and keep moisture out. And you are able to choose from a range of fourteen different handle designs so that the door that you do choose perfectly complements your homes existing decor.

Additionally, unlike many other companies, Portella also has also given extensive thought to the best ways to integrate glass into their traditional iron doors, and you can choose between the high quality, clear insulated glass that comes as standard if you choose a more open style that includes glass panels. Or you can instead opt for either a rain effect, or a more mottled glue chip glass effect.

With all of these options you can also choose to have the glass tinted, or even create customized designs, and so you have a great deal of flexibility to create the perfect door for your circumstances.

The Portella Traditional Series is a celebration of craftsmanship and tradition in the art of creating compelling iron doors that you, and your family, will love for decades to come.
