Online Golf Tips – Are You Getting Good Info?

Players of all skill levels are always looking to improve their game. Many golfers want to use online golf tips to improve their games. For some, it is a matter of cost and for others it is simply a matter of convenience. So, the question is “Can you really learn anything and improve your game from using online golf tips?” The simple answer is yes, but, here are some helpful hints to make sure that you are getting the best information for you and your game.

First you need to breakdown your game and understand what you need help with first. Many of you will want o learn how to hit your driver farther. I am a golfer too. I get it. However, this is not the fastest way to lower your scores. Believe it or not, improving your short game will lower your scores faster than getting another 10 yards out of your driver. Over the next few rounds, keep track of how many fairways you hit, green you hit, putts taken and how many times you make an up and down if you miss the green. This will give you a better sense of where your weakness lies.

Now you are aware of what you want improve so how to you find online golf tips? Of course you go to your favorite search engine whether it is Google, Yahoo or Bing and simply type in a key phrase such as putting lesson or short game tips. As you already know, multiple listings will be returned to you in a nana-second on how you can improve. This is where I warn you to be careful!

You must keep in mind that literally anyone can post anything on the World Wide Web. Before I read the material and no matter your skill level, find out who is doing the writing. You will preferably want information from a PGA of America Professional. It is even better if they hold a Certification in Golf Instruction and the best if they are a Master Professional in golf instruction. So, how in the world are you going to find this out? Many instructors will provide this information on the “About Us” page of their website. You can always go to PGA.com and find an instructor and then Google them as well.

Now that you have found an instructor and some information, how do you know if it is any good? Again, no matter your skill level, you will quickly be able to recognize if it makes sense to you or not. Remember, just because it is on the internet does not make it good material. (I am a French model) We all have different learning styles and ways that we take in information. So you may have to “taste test” a little bit. With this being said, do not allow the attitude of “It did not work on that swing so it must be bad” rule your practice time. You will never get anywhere with that attitude.

If you still have questions once you practice, you can always find online golf tips in the form of a golf webinar. During the webinar, you can have a professional answer any other questions that you may have. In addition, you can find different resources on Twitter and Facebook where you can submit questions and professionals will answer your questions.
