The exact measurements will depend on the desired pitch of the roof, which is typically 45 degrees. Once the rafters are securely in place, cover the roof with corrugated roofing sheets followed by asphalt shingles.

Throughout the building process, there are a number of tools that come in handy but are not required. For instance, a nail gun is a tool that saves time and energy, but an old fashioned hammer will do the trick. Most home improvement stores offer these tools for as daily rentals, so there is no need to buy.
