8 Reasons Why You Should Consider a Move to Northern Arizona

Are you considering moving to Arizona? Don\’t just look at the Phoenix, Mesa and Southern Arizona areas. Northern Arizona is also a great place to live. You might just be surprised. Here are a few reasons why you should look at North Arizona for relocation:

1. Northern Arizona has a climate for everyone. From snow skiing to water skiing, Northern Arizona has it all. If you like it at least Phoenix warm/hot, check out Page next to Lake Powell, Bullhead City or Parker with their Colorado River-front properties, or Lake Havasu City with its fantastic lake playground. If you like it cool, check out Flagstaff, with the Arizona Snowbowl ski area and pine covered mountains. If you your temperatures more moderate, take a look at Kingman, Prescott, Ash Fork, Winslow or Seligman.

2. Do you like to hike, camp, RV, 4-wheel or just drive to beautiful scenic recreation places? No one can beat Northern Arizona\’s amazing national parks and recreation areas. Grand Canyon North Rim, Grand Canyon South Rim, and Grand Canyon West all reside here. But that\’s only the beginning. Some other interesting places to visit are: Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Chiricahua National Monument, Kartchner Cavern State Park, Monument Valley, Mongollon Rim, Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona, Hualapai Mountain Park, Petrified Forest National Park, Red Rock State Park, Slide Rock State Park, Tonto Natural Bridge State Park, Rainbow Bridge National Monument, Lake Mead, Lake Havasu, Lake Powell and Lake Mohave. And this is just the beginning! There are still more interesting recreational places to explore in or near Northern Arizona that I haven\’t mentioned.

3. Like history? Visit some of Northern AZ\’s historic ghost towns like Jerome, Chloride, Parks and Oatman. Also be sure to check out the historic districts and museums of classic Western towns like Prescott, Kingman and Flagstaff. And don’t forget the historic Route 66 towns like Seligman, Hackberry, Peach Springs, Williams and Winslow.

4. Like classic cars? You\’re not alone! Northern Arizona has the longest stretch of continuous historic Route 66. There are many classic car runs and motorcycle tours in this Route 66/I-40 area of Northern Arizona.

5. You can avoid all the big city problems, like smog, crime, and traffic, by living in North Arizona, and still have city conveniences like malls & shopping centers, fine dining, hospitals, and top ranked colleges. Cities like Prescott Valley and Flagstaff have great shopping, excellent restaurants, medical centers and large universities, like Northern Arizona University.

6. If you like it remote, there are places to live in Northern Arizona that are off-the-grid and off the map. There is some land you can buy that’s so remote that they don’t even have dirt roads to access them. Deer, antelope and elk abound in these areas. Excellent places for hunters or wildlife watchers.

7. Of course everywhere in North Arizona you will find beautiful scenery, fresh clean air, abundant sunshine, and those amazing Arizona sunsets!

8. Despite the fact that North Arizona is such a great place to live, Northern Arizona remains relatively undiscovered and homes and land have amazingly reasonable prices (especially compared to Phoenix, Las Vegas, and California.)
