Keeping Yourself Safe on the Treadmill

When you are on a treadmill, you may not be very worried about getting injured. People often lull themselves into a false sense of security because they feel that there is not much that can happen to them when they are on a treadmill.

Just because your shoes are not going to be getting dirty and they may not look as worn, the padding on the inside of your shoes will definitely feel the repercussions of your run. There are a lot of people that have to make sure they replace their shoes more than is recommended.

Depending on how hard you run, you may want to consider replacing your shoes a lot. Finally, you have to make sure that you are staying hydrated throughout the whole duration of your run to stay safe.

No matter where you are running, you are going to be heating up your body and burning off a lot of the water that your body has stored. Staying hydrated is key to keeping your energy level high and your body able to continue running.

Keeping water bottle on your treadmill is absolutely necessary when you are participating in a hard run. Make sure you are not trying to re-hydrate with a sugary drink or with something that is only going to dehydrate you more.
