Baltimore Ravens Tickets – Bulger Adds QB Depth for Ravens

Each year, adding new faces to each NFL team can equal the difference between a playoff year and a disappointing season. The Baltimore Ravens are hoping they can be Brand Cialis part of the former category with their off-season moves. The team added insurance at the quarterback position by signing Marc Bulger to a one-year contract. He is set to make $3.8 million, but has the potential to reach $5.3 million with incentives. The Ravens are hoping to keep him healthy, as he missed the latter part of the 2009 season because of a shin injury. Last year with the St. Louis Rams, he played in nine games and tallied 1,469 yards, five touchdowns, six interceptions and a passer rating of 70.7.

Bulger had been with the Rams since 2001. In that time, he tallied 22,814 yards, 122 touchdowns, 93 interceptions and a career passer rating of 84.4. He is also a two-time Pro Bowl selection. Bulger is expected to be the backup to starting Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. Flacco has been the team’s starter since he entered the league in 2008, and in two seasons he has tallied 6,582 yards, 35 touchdowns, 24 interceptions and a rating of 84.9. The team also has John Beck and Troy Smith as backups.

Bulger isn’t the only veteran addition for the Ravens. On defense, they also added Pro Bowl safety Ken Hamlin. Like Bulger, he signed a one-year contract, which seems to be en vogue considering the lack of a new CBA following the 2010 season. Hamlin has been with the Dallas Cowboys since 2007. Last season, he started in 12 games and tallied 52 tackles and two passes defended. Prior to his time with the ‘Boys, Hamilton played for the Seattle Seahawks from 2003 to 2006. Harris had an entire year to recover from a knee injury and did not play during the 2009 season. Prior to that, he was with the San Francisco 49ers for three seasons. The 35-year-old Pro Bowler has also played for the Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins. The Ravens have two cornerbacks-Lardarius Webb and Fabian Washington-who are recovering from knee injuries suffered during the 2009 season.

The team had to cancel the remainder of their organized team activities (OTAs) per orders from the NFL because of a violation of workout rules.
