Indianapolis Colts Tickets – What’s the Status of Bob Sanders?

Injuries can be a tricky thing in the National Football League. In some cases, it behooves a team to own up to an injury quickly, like to move a player to injured reserve to make room for another player. For injuries that don’t end seasons, though, it gets less clear. This leads to speculation about the condition of injuries that do not end seasons, and the subject of speculation during the 2010 offseason is Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl safety Bob Sanders.

In an article about much-maligned receiver Terrell Owens, NFL.com senior analyst Michael Lombardi added a list of “extra points” to the bottom. One of the extra points was that Sanders may never see the field as a player again because of his injuries. The report caused Sanders’ agent Tom Condon to refute the report to The Indianapolis Star, and a Colts spokesperson also said that Sanders’ status is the same as June, when Sanders insisted he was healthy and ready to contribute during the 2010 season. Cialis Professional Either the original report was completely wrong, or it will be confirmed when the 2010 season starts.

Sanders has been with the Colts since they drafted him in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He has been incited to two Pro Bowls since then and was also part of the Colts team to win the Super Bowl following the 2006 season. In 2007, he was named the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, among other recognitions. The high points of Sanders’ career have been countered by frequent injuries that have limited his time on the field. He has routinely been kept out of at least a few games every season because of knee and other injuries. He has played less than half of the regular season games for the past two seasons, including two last season. When Sanders is healthy, he is one of the best safeties in the game, which presumably makes him worth the risk for the Colts.

With or without Sanders, the Colts are one of the strongest teams in the NFL. ESPN the Magazine points out that they are also one of the strongest franchises in all of sports. ESPN the Magazine released its eighth annual Ultimate Standing, ranking the franchises by how well the teams deal with their fans in eight categories. The categories the Colts ranked highest in were “players,” which judged the effort and likeability of each team’s players, and “title track,” which was the number of championships and potential championships. They ranked third in both categories.

The Colts came in fourth overall, only bested by one NFL team: the New Orleans Saints (who also beat the Colts in the last Super Bowl and were first on the list). Also in the Top 10 were the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Angels, Pittsburgh Penguins, Tampa Bay Rays, San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Red Wings, Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Cavaliers. Their fans would likely agree with the ranking, which is perhaps why Indianapolis Colts tickets are so popular and fans can find theirs online.
